Important on Multi-Network Lift SIM cards

What is a GSM Lift auto dialler?
A GSM unit enables an Lift auto dialler to operate via the mobile phone network without the need for a BT landline. These units are supplied by your lift maintenance company. And we would provide the SIM card for the unit. Don't be fooled by some providers telling you that you have to have their SIM cards for the unit to work. A SIM card is a SIM card, and you are normally told differently because thay are trying to sell you a platform or expensive monitoring system and lock you into a long contract.
What if I do not have a GSM auto dialler?
GSM units can be very expensive. And with the National ``Stop Sell" from Openreach on copper lift lines the cost of these units is increasing at an alarming rate (no pun intended). However, If you would like to keep your existing lift unit we can provide a 1PHONE GSM router that you can just connect your current lift unit to, and you are good to go. More Information Here
Can we keep a stock of SIM cards to be switched on when ready?
Yes. We are more than happy to provide you with a block of SIM cards that can be switched on when you need them. However there is a small one off cost of £1.80 ex VAT per SIM card to do this. Blocks of SIM cards are sent in X10, X20 or X50 cards.
What is a Lift Multi-Network GSM SIM?
The service uses a special SIM Card that works across all four main mobile networks, Vodafone, O2, EE and Three. These SIM cards will NOT work ouside the UK.
How do I get a SIM card?
Once you have placed your order you will receive an email asking to set up a direct debit for the monthly line rental. Once your Direct Debit has been set up we will deliver your SIM card via DHL, and this will be signed for. Please note - Due to a significant increase in the amount of fraudulent activity across our base, the full vetting process will need to be completed before onboarding any new customers. We will no longer deliver SIM's to home addresses. All SIM's cards will only be delivered to the registered office location or to the lift provider's registered address (further checks will be made first). A full credit check may also be performed before activation.
How long will it take for my SIM to arrive?
Once you’ve placed your order and set up a direct debit, we’ll post your SIM directly to you by second class mail. Allow 2-3 days for delivery. Once you have received your SIM card you just need to call us to have it activated on 0330 122 0000. Sims cards can take up to 48 hours to activate and can only be activated on a working day.
Will the SIM fit my lift auto-dialler?
Yes - our multi-SIMs are designed to fit any device. Just pop out the size to fit your unit.
What are your payment methods?
We only accept Direct Debit for monthly service payments. Your payments are protected by the Direct Debit guarantee. Direct Debits are set up directly via our website or by email. No more filling out paper mandates and posting them back. Services and paying via Direct Debit are subject to status and a full credit check. Please contact us if you would like yearly billing for the line rental. Please note - A full vetting process will still need to be completed before onboarding any new customers, even on yearly billing. Yearly billing is 12 months advance with a non-refundable payment.
Can the SIM send Text messages?
Outbound SMS and Text messaging barring is placed on all SIM card networks. Inbound SMS and Text are NOT barred. The outbound SMS and Text messaging cannot be lifted. To safeguard against the SIM being stolen, we place call barring on calling international, Adult & Premium Calls, Chat & Premium Calls, Mpay, as all MMS messages, All Incoming/Outgoing Roaming, Adult Premium, GPRS, 4/3G Services are also barred.
How do I transfer the service to a new of a site?
The SIM service contract is a non-transferable and non-assignable Agreement. If you notify us to terminate your agreement and /or that you have handed over the management of the site/address and are no longer responsible for the line rental payments, the service/s will be disconnected with immediate effect. Should the new owners wish to take over the service they must contact us at least 14 days before you give notice to terminate the contract with us. Giving us time to complete the necessary checks before we agree to provide a service to the new owner/s. Please bear this in mind if you have opted for a yearly billing as this is a non-refundable payment, and the new service will be regarded as the start of a new service and contract.
How long will it take to switch a SIM on?
Activating a SIM card takes about 24/36 hours to become live. However, it can take up to 3 working days for all four networks to update, so please take this into account. We are seeing a significant increase in the amount of fraudulent activity across our base, thus a full vetting process will need to be completed before onboarding any new customers. We will no longer post SIM's to home addresses. All SIM's cards will only be delivered to the registered office location or to the lift provider's registered address (further checks will be made first). A full credit check is also performed before activation.
CPI (Consumer Price Index) price increases
CPI (Consumer Price Index) price increases
If you sign up to a new contract or renew your contract for a Mobile SIM service (including call charges, features, add-ons and Mobile broadband plans) the monthly price will increase each year from April 1st each year. That increase is based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) Rate of inflation which is published in January each year plus 3.9%. If CPI is negative, we’ll only apply the 3.9%
About your first Bill for services
You will be charged line rental from the day Simple Telecommunications Ltd supplies the service. All chargeable services are paid one clear calendar month in advance. The first invoice will show a charge for the whole month in which the invoice is issued and for the whole of the following calendar month. (2 whole months). It will also include the part month during which the service went live with us. If yearly billing your first invoice will show 13 months rental to cover the month in advance. Services are provided subject to status and or credit checks. Bill starts from the date the SIM goes live, and not when its placed in to the GSM lift unit on site
Automated service monitoring
Please remember if your lift maintenance provider sets the GSM unit to Automatically check in at a given time or date, and this involves a call. Then the call will come off sany calls included in the call plan. So we recommend asking your maintenance provider if this is set, and when and how many times the unit is set to call in. As this could take you over the amount of included calls your call plan as included. This DOES NOT apply to our 1PHONE GSM unit.

1PHONE Multi Network Lift GSM Unit

NOT reliant on any Openreach infrastructure  - Our Lift Line 1Phone telephone line only service setup is a quick Plug & Play. So there's nothing more to do than connecting the router to a power socket, and connecting your fly lead from the lift auto dialler to the the router using a special lead (Master Phone Adaptor with Ring Capacitor to connect a BT BT431a or BT BT631a plug to a RJ11 socket). The service uses a special SIM Card that works across all four main mobile networks, Vodafone, O2, EE and Three that is inside the 1Phone router, it then uses the SIM data to make and receive calls. (There is NO Internet service). So you should have coverage almost anywhere you place the 1Phone telephone router, however we recommend placing as high up as you can, and not on the Lift Car itself if you can help it. This means should the main mobile network go down, the router will then move to the next available mobile network, so you're fully covered. Before the 1Phone router and SIM card leaves us it's programmed with all your telephone line information, and the router is locked to the SIM, so it's ready to go once you receive the router.
